Travel Destinations:

Mountain Skills Climbing Guides is pleased to offer guided climbing trips to the Adirondacks in New York featuring the big cliffs of Wallface, Rogers Rock, Chapel Pond, and Poke O Moonshine. In the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the climbing opportunities are on Mt. Washington, Cannon Cliff and in Crawford Notch.

We also run guided trips to Ragged Mountain in Connecticut and the Delaware Water Gap in New Jersey. We will be offering trips frequently throughout the year so be sure to check out our web site for new trips and locations. We are happy to accompany you to any of these locations to climb that special route at any time

Chapel Pond, Adirondacks N.Y.:

Climb the Empress (5.5), Greensleeves (5.6) or the Regular Route (5.5).  These are classic Adirondack slab climbs in a beautiful location with a short approach. All three climbs are 6-7 pitches long.

Rogers Rock, Lake George N.Y.:

Climb Little Finger (5.5). This is a climb like no other in the East.  With a canoe approach and climbing right above Lake George, Little Finger is all about great rock and amazing views.

Wallface, Adirondacks N.Y.:

Climb Diagonal (5.8) or the Case Route (5.4)  Climbing at Wallface requires a 4.5 mile hike and a overnight in the back-country.  This is New York's biggest cliff in a remote setting.  Diagonal and the Case Route are both 8 pitches long with a full day commitment.

Mt. Washington, White Mountains N.H.:

N.E. Ridge of the Pinnacle Buttress (5.7) follows the rock ridge of the famous Pinnacle Gully ice climb on Mt. Washington in Huntington's Ravine. It's a full day adventure into a beautiful alpine environment. With a 2 hour hike in and 7 pitches of climbing.

Crawford Notch, N.H.:

Lost in the Sun (5.5) located on Mt. Willard in Crawford Notch is this 7 pitch climb with bolted belays and moderate slab climbing. This is a great route for beginner's with some multi-pitch experience to climb.

Cannon Cliff Franconia Notch, N.H.: Climb the Whitney-Gilman Ridge (5.7) 5 pitches.  The Whitney-Gilman Ridge is New England's classic must do ridge climb.

Ragged Mountain, C.T.:

Ragged Mountain is a great area to learn top rope anchor building and rock climbing in a single pitch setting.  The approach is easy and the rock climbing is amazing.
